Remember, I shared a brief discussion on the countries in Asia? Meanwhile, I have also done a lot of fun travel trivia on countries that start with X, Y, J, and more.

I have also done a detailed US vs Canada comparison and Australia vs New Zealand comparison. Though many feel these are geography lessons, I enjoy writing about these.

So, this time, I have decided to pen a fun account on which continent has the most countries. Let’s begin!

What Continent Has The Most Countries In Order? How Many Countries Are On Each Continent?

What Continent Has The Most Countries In Order_ How Many Countries Are On Each Continent

Asia may have India and China, two of the most populous countries in the world, but Africa wins the contest of “What continent has the most countries,” as the home to 54 countries.

Among the 5 others, Antarctica is not a permanently inhabited continent. So, that is out of our list, and South America, with just 12 countries, is the inhabited continent with the least number of countries.

Further, here is the list of which continent has the most countries in order.

Which Continent Has The Most Countries In The World? It’s Time For Africa

Which Continent Has The Most Countries In The World_ It’s Time For Africa

No, it is not the Shakira and FIFA song we are referring to. Africa, divided into five sub-regions, has the highest number of countries (54) in the world

The Eastern sub-region has the highest number of countries, and Western Africa is second on the list.

The sub-region of Africa with the least number of countries is Southern Africa

Furthermore, the largest country in Africa is the Democratic Republic of the Congo, which is located in the Central African subregion.

Moreover, the most populous country in Africa is Nigeria, and Seychelles in the Indian Ocean is the least populous among these countries.

The beauty of the African countries is that they celebrate multiculturalism and multiethnicity. However, political disturbances, high crime rates, and an unstable economy have been the major problems in these countries.

Nevertheless, here are the countries in Africa.
