If I could, I would meet you in Suvarnabhumi and escort you through the city of Krung Thep, or in the West, known as Bangkok. The real name has 168 characters, making it the city with the longest name.
It offers a variety of experiences you can enjoy in this vast and sensory-overloading epicentre of Southeast Asian activity and culture. If we can not arrange my personal guidance, allow me to offer what I can here.
In my experience, most people have no issue with paying for quality, so long as there is security, a trusted reference, or assurance, expectations will be met. Sound familiar?
Always, always voice all expectations when booking a residence in Bangkok. My first point would be this: do not assume anything, but be clear instead. Thai people are lovely and helpful. Especially in the service industry, they are focused on exceeding your standards.
Choose A Bangkok Luxury Accommodation: Setting The Right Mood For Your Holiday
Hands-free service awaits you at a Bangkok 5 star hotel. The name of Bangkok means the City of Angels, but Thailand is the Land of Smiles. Be sure to share yours with them.
Can you imagine the stories service and emergency workers encounter on any given day from the fusion of nationalities, spoken and body languages?
Bangkok is not a stranger to strangers; before it was the capital, it was a long-time trade hub due to the Chao Phraya River and the rich Bay of Thailand.
Of course, you want a comfortable room, but this city is energising, and you will not be in your room for long.
1. The Amenities
A private pool suite includes many private amenities that I can appreciate; however, Thailand is experienced outside.
The elevator rides will take longer than walking to another choice option. That is another good tip.
2. Choose A Bangkok Luxury Accommodation Offering Access To Various Parts Of The City
The city offers the best observation towers, with the greatest variety of cuisines in its collection of rooftop dining and cocktail venues.
Make a point to take in the skyline at night. This will not be difficult as there is a long list of high-quality options, such as Rainforest, Pastel, or Belga, that will fulfil any international culinary desire, as the sky silences the noise below.
Enjoying Bangkok With Slow Traveling
Slow down and enjoy a smaller area in greater detail. Large metropolises must be consumed one bite at a time. You will drive yourself crazy in taxi traffic and miss the entire experience. Our minds are masters at assimilating new information.
We have to slow down to enjoy the newness of a certain site, smell, sound, or taste. I feel luxury is soothing, comforting, and easing like a five-course meal, not a drive-through. There is a sizable coffee culture here. Order a latte, sit outside, and observe the city in motion.
You can’t live your whole trip in the clouds, and as you get back on ground level, your nose will lead you to better food than Google Maps.
1. The City Is Always Alive
Any time of day is a good time to find street food in Bangkok, admittedly much more so before 8 am and after 5 pm. Thai market styles vary as much as fish in the sea, but the large, historic bazaars like Chatuchak weekend and Pratum night markets are massive and seemingly always open or active.
Any shop, cart, or stall where people are standing in line is very good at whatever they serve. There are too many options for people to wait for nothing.
The former capital of Siam was Ayutthaya, and I highly recommend you spend time there to gain a deeper appreciation for its traditions and history. Another frequently overlooked artefact is the canal system of Bangkok.
2. The Transportation System Is Convenient
Before roads, rivers and canals were essential transportation corridors, and we can still catch a river taxi today. When traffic is dense and the taxi is not moving, the water taxis are still motoring down the tight turns to surprisingly convenient disembarkation piers.
- Taxis
Taxis are good, everywhere, and have at least basic English, but GPS is best. They are convenient when it is too hot and the BTS rail does not reach within walking distance of your destination. On the ground floor of the airport, there is a taxi ticket system which assigns a car to you from the many lined up and waiting.
- The National Train System
Their national train system generally operates on a lesser standard than the West, but it is a very effective way to reach distant locations, safely, efficiently, and comfortably, depending on the location.
From remote beaches to lush mountain-tops, Thailand will cause your mouth to fall open in awe of the beauty. Inside Bangkok, the BTS or MRT will move you swiftly, but is full around standard work-week schedules. You can take a tram from Suvarnabhumi to a BTS station, then directly downtown with ease.
- Tuk-tuk
The 3-wheeled tuk-tuk is an interesting experience. But I prefer a motorbike taxi when I want to get where I am going without delay.
I have touched briefly on accommodation comfort, quality, services, and location, proximity to important sites, where to find international as well as local food choices, and transportation recommendations. Those are four points to a five-star holiday.
From Living In A Bangkok Luxury Accommodation To Exploring The Key Attractions: Enjoying Bangkok To The Fullest
“The Big City” is fully entertaining and enriching, but you are missing an opportunity by not shopping here.
The area around Suhumvit (main street), Soi 11, will challenge even the most fit, endurance shoppers. Street-level brand shops, boutiques, and local stores abound in every direction. Dine and shop your way around the Siam Square district. Shopping is easier when your hotel is nearby.
A truly holistic approach to your vacation starts in your own mindset and actions. A hotel can offer an exclusive menu, a clean quality environment, intriguing design and style, signature cocktails, spa, and massage services. But are you prepared to be relaxed or invigorated and have a memorable holiday?
Take off your watch or don’t look at the time on your phone. Be here. Be in your time here. Take fewer pictures and far fewer selfies. Take fewer videos. Memories are built long before they can be captured, and using 1000 words means more than a picture ever could.
