“Sand under my feet,
Wind in my hair,
Salt on my skin.”
The year started with a bang for me - and I’ll tell you why. I was sitting at work getting really bored when my dad called me and told me that we were going to Goa in five days.
And OH MY GOD, I jumped with joy - I was FINALLY going to Goa and the best part?
It was completely paid for - I was going with my parents. Now, you might look at me and think - what is wrong with me? Trust me, traveling with your parents to Goa can be a fascinating experience, provided your parents understand SPACE!
After spending three days in the white sands of South Goa, it was time to head over to the capital city of Panaji and its closest beach - yep, I am talking about Candolim Beach. What a beautiful, beautiful beach - I jumped with joy!
Let’s dig in with the details, shall we?
Visiting Candolim Beach? Here’s The Travel Hot List You Need!
Candolim Beach is one of the most mesmerizing beaches that Goa has to offer the world. The unforgettable view of the sea, the soft, glittering white sand, and the warm sun can make your day so much better by just existing.
I was staying at the Swimsea Beach Resort - the best part? Don’t book these places online - you will end up paying at least 2 to 3 thousand bucks extra. Instead, it is always best to book these places directly once you reach the destination.
You might think that it’s a little risky, but then that’s fine - a major tourist city like Panaji has so many options to offer. But if you still like planning every detail of your trip way ahead, it’s best to opt for AirBNBs - Goa is a paradise for all AirBNB fans!
“She loved the ocean,
Because every time the waves left the shore,
They always came back.”
I was staying near Caranzalem Beach - and it was pretty, but nothing compared to the beauty of Candolim. The very sight of the huge waves constantly going back and forth has made a permanent home in my memories.
Such a soothing place - my mum loves beaches and spending time in the midst of nature. Naturally, this was an equally enlightening, if not more, experience for her and my dad as well.

Perhaps, one of the best things you can do at Candolim Beach is rent a scooter and explore the nearby area.
