Best Cities In Spain For Solo Trips.

Remember those novels where you read about a traveler journeying through Europe in order to find themselves and experience places and cultures? Well, this article will help you with that urge.

Today, we will look at some of the best and most preem cities in Spain that can help you fulfill this urge of going about on a solo adventure through some of the most aesthetic cities, landscapes, and towns in Spain that look like they crawled out of a Vibrant artwork. But before we start with our list of cities in Spain, we want to clarify that all the towns and cities listed here are not at all done by any form of ranking or other metrics.

Therefore, this is not a list of ‘Best cities to visit in Spain’ list. Rather, this list will look at some of the most suitable cities in Spain that are perfect for solo traveling.

Barcelona

Well, it should not be a surprise that we decided to start off our list with Barcelona. This Catalan capital is not only one of the major cities in Spain but is a major tourist hub across the globe. Therefore, it is obvious why this city tops our list. This is a city of wanderers.

Barcelona

Personally, I loved roaming the streets of Barcelona to take in some of the most breathtaking architectural marvels designed by famous architect Antoni Gaudi. Gaudi’s blend of unique styles defines the flavor of the city, where the new and old come together for a night of drinking.

Apart from the nuanced activity of taking in the sights of the city, this city is also a party and food heaven. The pubs are amazing as well as safe, so you can dance, eat, or drink your worries away. And finally, if you are done with people and human architecture, visit the beaches. It boasts one of the best beaches in Europe.

Madrid

Madrid

A city that is known for its panache, style, and exquisite cuisines, Madrid is a place for premium lifestyle and decadent fun. According a weird study conducted several years ago, the city of Madrid is known to house one of the highest numbers of bars than most other cities in Europe. If you want to experience the true nightlife of Europe, no other cities in Spain can help you with that. The sheer amount of bars, pubs, and other activities that riddle the nights of Madrid will boggle your mind. However, due to its geographic location, which is near the central part of Spain, the city can experience extreme climates like very dry/hot summers and equally chilly winters. Therefore, be prepared to brave the elements to keep the party going on.

San Sebastian

San Sebastian

Want to know which city in Spain can be termed as the gastronomic capital of Spain? Well, San Sebastian is the answer to your question then. The city, located in the beautiful expanse of the Basque Country, has one of the highest numbers of Michelin Star eateries per square meter than anywhere else in the world. But that does not mean that food is an expensive affair over there. In fact, it is a perfect haven for a hungry solo traveler. Most of the eateries you will encounter are small-scale eateries and cafes that serve amazing food at cheap rates but, at the same time, boast Michelin Stars. Therefore, the food will never feel heavy on the pockets.

Palma De Mallorca

Palma De Mallorca

Located on the sandy islands of Mallorca. Palma De Mallorca has a unique aesthetic that is a combination of vulture, history, and leisure. The beautiful old-school charm of the old towns of the location, coupled with the general vibrancy of the city, makes it an amazing place to chill and explore. I never knew what the winding paths of this coastal city had in store for me. Every turn took me towards something magical and mesmerizing that is not only beautiful to look at but equally breathtaking and serene. Palma De Mallorca might not be one of the biggest and most famous or biggest cities in Spain, but it certainly is one of the most underrated. The versatility, along with the serenity, makes it a perfect place where you can disconnect and rejuvenate.

Ibiza

If partying is a religion, then Ibiza is the Vatican. The island of Ibiza is not only one of the best cities in Spain for partying but is an amazing place for all rave lovers and solo travelers. The sandy and sunny beaches of Ibiza, along with an intense party vibe, have become one of the best spots where people can let their hair down and forget about their worries and problems.

Ibiza

However, if you are planning on going for a bar crawl situation, bring a lot of euros. Drinking and partying in Ibiza is only fun if you have the moolah for it. The prices of drinks and other things are super expensive. So, things can get challenging if you are somebody who is short on funds. But if you are somebody who can dish out some cash every now and then, Ibiza is one of the best cities to lose yourself in.

End Note.

With that, we have reached the very end of our list of some of the best and most famous cities in Spain that are perfect for solo travelers. All the cities that are listed here are super safe and have very low crime rates. Therefore, if you are traveling alone, you can rest easy. Still, be careful, as crime rates are low and not absent. So, next time you want to take a solo trip, consider giving these five cities some chance, and who knows, you might even start a new chapter in your life.
